These instructions assume you're using the default "Albatross" skin.

Adding Users to a XWiki

  1. Login as an administrator.
  2. Click: "Administration" top right corner - this will open the main Administration page.
  3. Choose the tab: Users & Groups - this will show you two links to the User administration and the group administration pages.
  4. Click the link to "the users page" - this will bring up an overview of all users ( in big wikis this can be a very large page ).
  5. Click the link to "Register user" - this will open a new page where the new users name etc...can be entered.

  2. Use the search function (right hand side menu) to find all groups that the user is member of.
  3. Delete the user from each group he is member of.
  4. Finally delete the user by using the delete button (top left menu).

  6. To the URL of the page add the follwing extention: ?xpage=passwd . This will give you a URL looking somthing like http : // server/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/A UserName?xpage=passwd
  7. Update the password. (Don't forget to tell the user)

  8. Select the "XWiki.XWikiUsers[0]: Yes" object and edit the entries according to your requirements.
  9. Click "Save and View" - to save the changes you have made.
